This double-gang Dolby 9.1 and 9.2 speaker wall plate is used in home cinema installations where cables are hidden within the walls. It’s the main speaker plate in a 9.1 or 9.2 system and all the satellite speakers and subwoofer cables run back to it. Usually located behind the AV receiver, it provides a permanent professional connection point between speakers and AV receiver. Making it much easier to connect the speakers to the receiver and keep the cables organised and tangle-free.

The plate comes with nine pairs of dual-purpose gold-plated speaker binding posts marked black and red. These accept bare speaker cable and 4mm banana plugs. The connections are the same on both the front and the back for a solder-free installation. The plate also provides a single gold-plated RCA subwoofer socket with a coupler on the back. We also provide a gold-plated right-angle RCA phono adaptor for the back to make installation easier than ever. You can also add an additional subwoofer socket to make this a 9.2 speaker plate.

The 18 speaker posts and one subwoofer socket are mounted on a double-gang wall plate. This will fit any standard UK two-gang back box with the required depth. On the plastic plates, all the connectors are recessed into the front of the plate. The connections on our custom metal plates are all insulated with black nylon bushes. A set of matching screws is also provided.

A 9.1 / 9.2 speaker plate is an excellent way to provide a professional connection point between the AV receiver and speakers when the cabling is permanently installed in the walls. They offer a dedicated point of connection, making future equipment upgrades easier than ever to install.

Speaker Labeling (Engraving)

All our plates are engraved at each speaker socket to identify which location they are for.

(If you are adding an extra subwoofer they will be engraved as follows SUB 1 and SUB 2)
