- It features an HDMI socket and a USB socket on the front of the wall plate. On the back, there is a female HDMI and a female USB-A socket at the end of a short lead. USB3.0 and HDMI V2.1 compliant, this socket acts as a coupler allowing easy connection of your HDMI and USB leads. Our connectors are fixed to the plate using screws and bolts rather than glue, providing extra strength for longevity and regular use.
HDMI & USB Plates are used extensively in audio visual installations to provide a point of connection between devices, such as a laptop and an interactive touch screen or whiteboard. They are also used in projector installations and TV installations as a simple HDMI & USB connection plate. This plate protects the main cables in the wall from any damage during use. This is ideal for commercial AV installations or anywhere laptops are regularly connected to AV equipment, such as in offices or classrooms.

Why HDMI 2.1
Not everyone knows that not all HDMI cables are the same or can do the same tasks. It’s important to know, though, that HDMI 2V.1 is the very latest and is backwards compatible with all previous versions.
The key difference between the previous version, HDMI 2.0, and the new 2.1 is the bandwidth and transmission bit rate. The former V2.0 supports only 18Gbps to achieve a 4K picture at 60Hz. Whereas the latest HDMI 2.1 clocks in at 48Gbps and promises up to 10K resolution at 120Hz. This will future-proof your HDMI AV connection for a few upgrades yet!
HDMI V2.1 is fully backwards compatible and will work with all previous standards.
