What is a TV Wall Panel ?

Do you want to create a more of feature to your home entertainment equipment ? would you like a clean neat and tidy cable free solution ? then media TV wall panels and floating TV walls may be the answer for you.

TV Panels offer a much more decorative approach to getting your TV mounted on the wall making more of a statement, a feature piece if you like. TV Wall Panels generally consist of a raised platform stepping away from the wall that allow decorative panels can be attached to. The TV is then mounted onto the decorative panel along with any sound bars, cabinets or floating shelves. Cables can be hidden in the cavity behind the decorative panel for a clean simple installation. This saves the need for cutting channels into the wall and replastering to hide the cables.

In Ceiling Motorised TV Lift Mechanism Complete Installation

Picture the scene: you want a TV in your bedroom for those Sunday morning lie in’s – or early Saturday morning cartoons if you have kids – but you just don’t have the room.

This is the situation we had recently at AV Installs when we were approached to provide a TV mounting solution for a client’s bedroom. There was no wall space available in the room and the client had built in wardrobes at the end of the bed with very little space between, therefore traditional mounting solutions such as an end of bed TV lift cabinet or an under bed TV Lifting system just wouldn’t work. This presented a challenge but one we were determined would not beat us!

It seemed that the only feasible solution would be to install the TV in the ceiling, lowering it vertically down into the room using a motorised TV lift. However, it wasn’t quite as easy as all that as the installation now was dependent on which direction the joists ran and how much space was available in the roof void.

AV Installs Ltd were approached by another AV hardware reseller to assist them with providing a bespoke audio visual installation for a Church in Kent. The Church wanted a large 3M wide projector screen installed at the front of church without covering up the entire stained glass window when it was in use.  The main Church Hall was very narrow with a large window in access of 5M tall, this meant that bringing a screen with extra drop down from above the window was not a possible solution.
