MCR contacted AV installs to upgrade their existing boardroom setup, which comprised an old 65″ plasma TV with cables running out of a floor box trailing under the desk. After conducting a thorough site survey, we identified our client’s primary requirements.

Were to increase the size of the display considerably from 65″ to a 2M wide projection screen. The key objective was to provide a high-definition projector that could cope with the detailed information that needed to be projected. MCR also wanted all cabling to be concealed and an easier way of connecting to the projector than having to trail cables from under the desk or the sidewalls.

The final solution consisted of an NEC PE401H 4000 Lum Full HD projector, along with a 2m-wide, 16:9 fixed-frame front projection screen. AV Installs Ltd also commissioned a bespoke desktop connection module that provided two mains sockets, two network sockets, one HDMI connection, one VGA & Audio connection. This great product allowed the customer to connect to the projector, power the laptop and access the internal network all from one point.

The Projector was ceiling-mounted to the wooden structure above the suspended ceiling using a white RA technology projector mount finished with a white ceiling tile trim disc.  AV Installs Ltd believes in attention to detail; the loss of little things when grouped makes a big difference to the aesthetics of a room and the successful integration of AV and technology.
