How to Choose the Right Dolby Atmos 7.1.2 Speaker Plate for Your Setup

When balancing 7.1 surround sound with dedicated spatial height elements, maintaining organised speaker lines is crucial.

1. Discrete 7.2.2 Surround Processing

The Benefit: Perfect for medium-to-large home theatres, supporting side-surrounds, rear-surrounds, and two overhead height speakers for a unified 3D soundstage.
Key Feature: Packs 18 gold-plated terminal posts and two subwoofer RCA sockets to seamlessly manage 7.1.2 or 7.2.2 receiver outputs.

Double-Gang Box Depth: With 18 speaker connection terminals and dual subwoofers, we highly recommend utilising a 47mm-deep double-gang back box (steel or plasterboard) to allow for clean cable routing.
Subwoofer Right-Angle Adaptors: Supplied with two gold-plated 90-degree RCA right-angle adaptors to avoid crimping your subwoofer cables against the back of the wall cavity.
Laser-Engraved Channel Labels: Every terminal features permanent laser-etched lettering pointing out speaker roles (FL, FR, C, SL, SR, RSL, RSR, AL, AR, SUB 1, and SUB 2).

Dolby Atmos 7.1.2 Speaker Layout Guide

A hybrid layout that combines the superior horizontal resolution of a 7.1 floor plan with basic .2 overhead coverage.

Placement Notes:

This system utilises the complete 7.1 floor-level layout (LCR, SL/SR, SBL/SBR, Sub) as shown in Fig 2.
Two height speakers are installed flush in the ceiling (the FH pair).
These overheads are placed in the Front Height position (forward of the sweet spot),
